POSCO IT Service Management System Implementation

□ Project Purpose: 

Build a business-centric integrated IT service management system to strengthen IT operational management and IT cost competitiveness through visibility and transparency of IT costs and services.


□ Background: 

Apply improvements from budget/contract/settlement management tasks and adjust roles and responsibilities (R&R) between POSCO and POSCO ICT to enhance project management and SR management processes. The goal is to reorganize the current ITSM system to achieve continuous cost reduction and improve IT service levels.


□ Expected Benefits

1. Innovation in Eliminating IT Operational Waste

- Identify and eliminate wasteful structures through IT cost analysis and improvement activities.

- Advance management systems through IT cost visibility and cost monitoring.

- Achieve zero waste in unused or idle assets.


2. Establish Group IT Governance

- Adjust R&R between POSCO and POSCO ICT under group IT governance.

- Standardize SR intake and project management for POSCO and overseas subsidiaries.


3. Prepare for Optimization of IT Investment and Operating Costs

- Optimize IT operating costs across the POSCO Group.

- Execute optimized IT investments.

- Continuously reduce costs through in-house technology development.


□ Key Implementation Goals by Area

Rebuild POSCO ITSM system to support integrated management across Budget/Contract/Settlement Management, IT Investment Performance Management, SR Management, and Performance Monitoring (SLM).


1. IT Budget/Contract/Settlement

- Build workflows based on consulting results.

- Digitize and link all processes from budget management to supply requests, contracts, and settlements.

- Provide meaningful data analysis and statistical information using reliable data.


2. IT Investment Performance Management

- Rebuild current project management workflows.

- Define processes by type, manage projects, priorities, progress, and satisfaction.

- Provide status and statistical analysis for project management areas.


3. SR Management

- Enhance current SR management workflows.

- Define processes by subsidiary type, manage general SR/maintenance, variable SR costs, and SR tracking.

- Integrate ICT SR system for work order issuance.

- Provide status and statistical analysis for SR management areas.


4. Performance Monitoring (SLM)

- Digitize and manage SLA contracts, SLA indicators/performance, and SR status.

- Implement dashboards to visually display real-time ITO operational status.
