에스티이지(STEG) Lim Hyun-gil, CEO of STEG Inc., was selected as a recipient of the Minister of Education Commendation at the 2015 Young Entrepreneur Award Ceremony.
Sponsored by the Small and Medium Business Administration and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and hosted by the Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, GEW KOREA 2015 is a global event held under the theme “Open the Future of Creative Economy! Global Entrepreneurship” on November 16–17.
Supported by the Kauffman Foundation in the U.S., this event is part of the world’s largest platform for spreading and exchanging entrepreneurial spirit, held simultaneously in over 120 countries during the third week of November each year. Participants included prominent figures such as Han Jeong-hwa, Administrator of the Small and Medium Business Administration, Nam Min-woo, Chairman of the Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, Philip Oswald, Senior Advisor at the Kauffman Foundation, Grace Choi, Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, Anne Höglund, Ambassador of Sweden, Mohamed Abdi Gello, Ambassador of Kenya, and Maria Rosa Lunati, Head of Statistics at OECD, along with scholars and innovators from 30 countries.
Through the Young Entrepreneur Award, GEW recognizes young entrepreneurs who have achieved outstanding results and contributed to spreading entrepreneurial spirit throughout the year. The award honors those who have significantly contributed to national economic development and the culture of youth entrepreneurship.
Lim Hyun-gil of STEG received the Minister of Education Commendation for contributions to national industrial development through excellent venture business management.
Lim stated:
