□ Project Objectives
1. Build a convenient system for accurate and efficient utilization by integrating various information scattered across tasks into a real-time monitoring framework.
2. Establish a one-stop business processing system without duplicate entries through the introduction of linkage systems with internal and external institutions.
3. Define IT operation management processes to efficiently operate and maintain the resource management system at the KORUS Operation Center.
□ Background
1. In response to changes in the higher education environment, such as declining student resources and accelerating internal and external competition, it is necessary to establish a foundation for system utilization to improve management efficiency of national universities.
2. To systematically support defined IT operation processes, it is necessary to implement functions such as request management, incident management, problem management, change management, configuration management, availability management, capacity management, and service level management.
□ Expected Benefits
1. Enhance the competitiveness of national universities through strategic resource input management based on accurate financial data and focused investment.
2. Promote balanced development by providing the same level of IT environment to all national universities, thereby eliminating the informatization gap between universities.
3. Expect cost-saving effects compared to building individual information systems for each university by preventing redundant development of similar systems.
□ Key Implementation Details by Area
1. Establishment of ITSM Standard Processes
- Develop improvement plans and implementation strategies for overall operation management systems based on ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000 certification standards.
- Provide templates by utilizing the proposer’s standard methodology and referencing Global Reference Models and Best Practices.
- Establish standard processes.
2. ITSM System Implementation
- Conduct process simulations (workshops) involving KORUS Operation Center staff and university information system administrators.
- Apply verified ITSM solutions.
- Implement dashboards that support ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000 principles and integrate with unified monitoring systems.
3. Establishment of SLA Standard Framework and System Integration
- Develop and integrate a standard SLA framework into the system.
- Define service catalog lists and SLA performance indicators.
- Build SLA-related support functions for automatic generation of statistics and reports.
4. Proposal for KORUS Operation Center Operating Cost Estimation
- Present a step-by-step roadmap for cost estimation.
- Provide a pool of indicators for quantitative management.
- Develop a framework for estimating KORUS Operation Center operating costs.
