STEG Inc. (CEO Lim Hyun-gil) provided consulting services for the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service (HIRA), which has successfully obtained the ISO 20000 international certification.


ISO 20000 is an international standard for IT Service Management (ITSM) published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2005. It is recognized globally as the best practice framework for IT service organizations to ensure high-quality service management.

HIRA announced on the 25th that it has obtained the international IT Service Management certification, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011.


This certification measures whether companies and organizations provide IT services that meet international standards to customers and employees. It is certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) and accredited by ISO.


HIRA built its IT Service Management (ITSM) system in 2013 and prepared for certification starting in 2014. It is the first public health and welfare institution to receive certification in the IT service sector.


Gil Jong-sun, Head of HIRA’s Information Resources Department, stated:

"We will continue to improve IT service management quality through systematic and continuous post-certification management."
