STEG Joins ICT Technology Market Innovative Products Regional Roadshow

STEG (CEO Hyun-Gil Lim) announced on the 24th that it successfully completed participation in the “ICT Technology Market Innovative Products Regional Roadshow,” supported by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).

The event, which introduces certified innovative ICT products and problem-solving methods for government and public institutions, was held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center over two days, September 17–18.

The program included company exhibitions, interviews with government agencies and IT firms about digital platforms, video recordings, and purchase consultations.

At the event, STEG showcased its no-code-based IT Service Management System “E-GENE ITSM” and Enterprise Service Management System “E-GENE ESM”, which help businesses and institutions digitally transform their workflows. The company also hosted an “ITSM Survey Event” offering Starbucks gift cards.

Additionally, STEG demonstrated new collaboration features in the E-GENE Solution, including comments, web hard drive, and web documents (Wiki). In 2022, STEG served as the ITSM provider for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s National Information Resources Service at the Daegu Cloud Center, implementing systematic IT service management and integrating with CMP solutions to support server provisioning request processes using the E-GENE ITSM solution.

Hyun-Gil Lim, CEO of STEG, stated:

“The E-GENE platform is a development tool essential for the era of digital platform transformation. Moving forward, STEG will continue research and development to become a future-oriented company aligned with this transformation.”

Park Geon, Deputy General Manager at STEG (formerly Adjunct Professor, SW Security Convergence Department, Baewha Women’s University), commented in an interview:

“Recently, public institutions, including local governments, face increasing IT compliance pressures, such as the guideline for software safety [Effective Dec. 17, 2020, Ministry of Science and ICT Notice No. 2020-77]. This emphasizes not only incident management but also the need for change and configuration management to keep CMDBs up to date. Due to annual ITO bidding for integrated maintenance, IT service process evidence tends to be scattered. Many of STEG’s public clients, including the Bank of Korea, Government Employees Pension Service, and Korea District Heating Corporation, have been operating with the E-GENE ITSM solution for years.”
