STEG (CEO Lim Hyun-gil) has created an opportunity to obtain internationally recognized certification along with systematic training on the ISO 20000 standard for IT service management systems. STEG announced on the 4th that it has signed a partnership agreement with EXIN for the domestic IT Service Management (ITSM) training and certification market.

This agreement includes collaborations with EXIN as ▲an ISO/IEC 20000:2018 Foundation accredited training and certification testing agency; and ▲EXIN Korea as an official certification body.

EXIN Asia Manager Zhenpeng Sun said, “We are delighted that EXIN, a leader in the education and certification of the global IT market, and STG have partnered to enter the Korean ITSM education and certification market together. We expect that this collaboration will have a new impact on the development of the Korean ITSM market by combining the strengths of both companies.”

Lim Hyun-gil, CEO of STEG, said, “Through this collaboration, EXIN and STEG are expected to present an international standard in the ITSM field. ITSM plays a key role in the provision and management of corporate IT services, and by providing domestic IT personnel with internationally recognized training and qualifications, we expect to foster the ability to respond to national computer network failures and prevent accidents. We also expect this to be of great help in ensuring compliance for financial institutions.” He promised to further strengthen the partnership between the two companies.

For this partnership, Professor Hwang Kyung-tae of Dongguk University, who serves as the Chairman of the Korea ITSMF, assisted with the translation of training materials. STEG will produce and provide video training. Starting as early as this month, participants will be able to take the ITSM Foundation certification exam, hosted by EXIN, through STEG's training. This also aims to strengthen the expertise of IT service management-related certifications, previously limited to ITIL certifications.

EXIN was established in 1984 by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. It holds the highest authority in the global IT certification market, and millions of IT professionals worldwide are EXIN-certified, pursuing deep and specialized careers in a variety of fields.

STEG, selected as an official partner, is an ITSM consulting firm that supports the implementation of ITSM solutions based on systematic consulting and a proprietary no-code core engine package system. The firm recently obtained CSAP certification, a public SaaS certification.

An official stated that STEG was highly regarded by EXIN for its successful achievements in ISO20000 consulting for the Korea Meteorological Administration in 2018 and in recent ISO20000:2018 certifications for K-Bank and Busan Bank in Korea, utilizing its proprietary no-code engine.
