STEG (CEO Lim Hyun-gil), an IT service management (ITSM) company, announced on the 2nd that it has successfully completed the ITSM reconstruction project for Korea Gas Corporation.
KOGAS faced increasing regulatory requirements due to mandatory standard operating procedures and internal accounting management systems, as well as a continued increase in the complexity of IT tasks and the number of resources to be managed. Through this project, the company rebuilt an IT service automation system centered on the ITIL v3 standard, maximizing business support and establishing an IT governance system for sustainable IT quality management.
STEG designed and implemented a process optimized for Korea Gas Corporation based on the global ITIL standard and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's standard operating procedures for information systems. Furthermore, various management functions were implemented, including service management, output management, task management, function point (FP) management, configuration management tools, service level management (SLM), statistics, dashboards, and three types of portals, to enhance work efficiency and convenience.
Furthermore, STEG's no-code business platform, "E-GENE™ BUSINESS PLATFORM," enables fast and flexible customization without additional coding. Users can easily customize all IT governance workflows, screens, dashboards, and UIs using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) design, enabling rapid and flexible response to changes in the operational environment.
With the success of this ITSM reconstruction project, KOGAS has further strengthened its foundation for digital innovation. By establishing standardized processes, it has strengthened its internal control capabilities and established an environment for measuring and managing quantitative performance, such as SLAs, based on actual operational data. In addition, related systems such as ERP, messenger, and notification systems were integrated with ITSM to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
STEG CEO Lim Hyeon-gil emphasized, "The successful completion of the ITSM system reconstruction project for Korea Gas Corporation, a leader in domestic and international digital innovation, has once again demonstrated STEG's capabilities and expertise. We will continue to lead the way in supporting digital transformation and advancing IT services in the public."
