STEG Wins Excellence Award at MOIS AI Civil Service Competition with 'AI Integrated Civil Complaint Platform'
  • Date2026.06.26

STEG (CEO Lim Hyun-gil) announced on the 24th that it won the Excellence Award at the 'AI-based Civil Service Innovation Scenario and Development Method' competition hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

This competition was planned under the theme of 'Civil complaints directly resolved by AI, an AI democratic government experienced by the people,' to discover scenarios and development methods for innovative AI civil services where AI processes complaints in a single portal. The core of this initiative is for AI to assist in processing civil complaints by primarily conducting investigations and making judgments, which aligns closely with the government's policy direction of expanding AI utilization in the public sector.

STEG received the honor of this award with its user-centric integrated civil complaint portal equipped with an AI agent. By applying Universal Workflow technology to its no-code-based platform, 'E-GENE™', the company proposed an AI civil service that processes complex complaints involving multiple agencies in a one-stop manner. For example, if a user inputs "I want to start a restaurant," the AI automatically recognizes the procedures required for licensing and permits, provides the expected schedule and costs, and supports various applications as well as real-time notifications by connecting with the systems of multiple related ministries.

It received high praise not only for presenting a direction to shift the paradigm of administrative services from being government-centric to user-centric and from simple information provision to problem-solving, but also for significantly enhancing service stability through workflow features that can be combined with various agents.

Furthermore, it built an integrated database (DB) to improve data consistency and implemented a model that supports civil complaint data analysis alongside the advancement of administrative services. In addition, it was designed to expand into personalized services based on user history, allowing the public to tangibly feel its utility.

Lim Hyun-gil, CEO of STEG, stated, "Approaching this from a service management and platform perspective to overcome the structural limitations of the civil complaint processing environment and to solve problems in the daily lives of the people was highly effective." He added, "We will continue to focus on digital innovation that resolves inconveniences in real life and work while improving overall satisfaction."

Meanwhile, STEG provides solutions that standardize and streamline the IT operations of enterprises and institutions, including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Project Management Systems (PMS). In particular, the company is ushering in the era of autonomous IT operations through 'AI Service Management (AI SM),' where an AI agent independently perceives situations, makes judgments, and executes necessary actions.
